Live Like Children of the King

Text: Ephesians 4:1-3 Don’t you like it when the Bible writers begin to get practical? After the Apostle Paul writes the first three chapters of Ephesians and ends that section with the truth that God is able, he leaves the mountain top of this wonderful letter and lets us know what we can do in Christ and with his help. Ephesians 4:1-3 begins with instructions on how to live the Christian life in community.

What Is Baptism?

Text: Romans 6:3-5 What is baptism? Water baptism is mentioned several places in the New Testament, but perhaps the verses that explain it best are found in Romans 6:3-4. Beyond that simple description, what water baptism is can be summarized in three ways.

God Is Able

Text: Ephesians 3:20-21 Three of the most encouraging words in the English language are these: “God is able.” Nothing is too big for God. There is no fear, no obstacle, no troubled relationship, no plan, no temptation, no opportunity and no dream too big for the power and authority of God to work for his glory. In Ephesians 3:20-21, the Apostle Paul takes us to the mountaintop of God to show us how we and our church can achieve his plan and purpose for his glory.

The Great Mystery Theater – and We’re Stars in It!

Text: Ephesians 3:1-13 Do you enjoy mysteries? In Ephesians 3:1-13, the Apostle Paul fills us in on a mystery found throughout the Old Testament, but explains it so that we can see the plot, story line and ending. It’s the mystery story of the church and the Gospel for all people.

When One + One = One

Text: Ephesians 2:11-22 In a culture filled with racial and religious division, is there any hope for the church? Can true unity and peace characterize the church in a world falling apart? In Ephesians 2:11-22, the Apostle Paul tells us how when he answers three basic questions.

From Death to Life

Text: Ephesians 2:1-10 Most people like to see before and after pictures, especially if the “after” picture makes you look better. In Ephesians 2:1-10, the Apostle Paul paints a before and after picture, but this one is of someone who has been transformed by God’s grace through faith. It forces you to ask the question, “Am I in this picture, and where?”

Blessed Beyond Measure Even More

Text: Ephesians 1:7-14 It is good for you to count your many blessings from God every day. In Ephesians, Chapter 1, the Apostle Paul helps us by listing some of them. In Eph. 1:3-6, there are three, and in today’s verses, Eph. 1:7-14, there are four more. Each one shows you as a born-again Christian, you are blessed beyond measure.
