Text: Luke 2:8-18 “Silent night; Holy night; all is calm; all is bright…” But was it so silent? In part of the Christmas story found in Luke 2:8-18, we find that it’s hard to keep silent when you are excited about some good news.

The Men Who Missed Christmas

Text: Luke 2:1-7; Matthew 2:1-12, 16-18 Have you ever missed Christmas? Every year, many people miss Christmas, but for a variety of reasons. The Wonder of His Name

Text: Isaiah 9:6 There are over 200 recorded names of Jesus in the Bible, and all of them reveal something special about him. Five of them are mentioned in Isaiah 9:6, a special prophetic birth announcement given by the prophet Isaiah over 700 years before the first Advent of Jesus. These names also point to the Second Advent of our Lord that we are to expect.

Run, Christian, Run!

Text: Hebrews 12:1-2 No one ever said living the life of a devoted follower of Jesus would be easy. The writer of the New Testament book of Hebrews in Chapter 12:1-2 likens it to running in a marathon race until we see Jesus face to face. The Holy Spirit coaches us through this Scripture passage by giving us three instructions on how to run.

Pray for Unity, Then Work for It!

Text: John 17:20-23 Unity in the church requires prayer, but it also requires much work. John 17:20-23 records a prayer from the heart and lips of our Lord and the focus of that prayer is unity in among believers and especially in the church. Take this prayer seriously, then pray like Jesus while you work toward unity.

What Is Baptism?

Text: Romans 6:3-5 What is baptism? Water baptism is mentioned several places in the New Testament, but perhaps the verses that explain it best are found in Romans 6:3-4. Beyond that simple description, what water baptism is can be summarized in three ways.
