CALL TO WORSHIP:

Let us draw near to worship with the words of Psalm 47….

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!

OPENING WORSHIP:

“Sing To The King”

worship:

“Cornerstone”

affirmation:

Hebrews 11:1   Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible…. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

WORSHIP:

“How Deep The Father’s Love For Us”

“And Can It Be”

Prayer:

Dear God thank you for making a way for us to be right with you. Thank you for not leaving us in our sins. It was amazing love you displayed on the cross, both the Father giving the Son, and the Son willingly suffering in our place. As you said, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).

Would you cause our love to abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment (Phil 1:9)? Humble our hearts as we receive love from you, may we freely give it to those around us.  Lead us in actions of compassion and caring. Guide our lips to speak truth with encouragement and grace. Let us be patient and kind and longsuffering as you are with us!

And please as your Word comes, open our hearts to receive and heed it. Guide Pastor Mark as he preaches that he might speak boldly and accurately and effectively in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Amen
