As we gather for worship this morning, I’d like to call you to worship with the Psalmist’s words in Psalm 28…
6 Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

WORSHIP:
“Christ Our Hope In Life And Death”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus you are the one mediator between God and man. You are the only one we can run to to find a way out of our sin. You’re our only hope in life and death…..Only through your obedient, sacrificial life and death and your glorious resurrection do we have any hope. You’ve made us a free offer that if we trust your death to take away our penalty, if we rely on your obedience to make us righteous, and we renounce our sinful ways, your Father will declare over us, “Not Guilty, Righteous!” What a promise!
Only your amazing love would cause you to go to such great lengths to rescue us. As we ponder the cross this week, we stand amazed at such humble strength, such sacrificial love, such stunning generosity. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 ESV)
And if you’ve gone to these lengths to deal with our sin, then surely we can keep trusting you to lead us through all of the other trials, hardships, and sufferings that we are now experiencing.
As your Word comes, would you meet us again? Speak to our hearts. Guide us in your truth! Set us free. We need you!
