A NOTE FROM PASTOR MARK:
We recognize that family worship has its unique challenges depending on your family’s size and stage of life. Therefore, we have prepared a complete worship service (below) for our entire church family because we are convinced that Sunday is so much more than a sermon. And this is one way for us to be worshiping the same way even though we are apart.
We suggest that you test the worship and sermon links before you gather your family. After you have done this, we encourage the leader of the house to read the prayers and appoint other readers as necessary to encourage greatest participation.
After the sermon is over, we encourage you to discuss the sermon and ways to live out its application.

Christ’s Love: Our Sap and Food
TEXT: John 15:1-11
ONLINE WORSHIP SERVICE (4.19.2020)
CALL TO WORSHIP:
As we gather to worship in the midst of these uncertain times, let us lift our voices in praise and celebrate the impeccable care of our ever-faithful God.
Psalm 100:1–5
1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
OPENING WORSHIP:
“This is Amazing Grace”
“Enough”
Prayer:
O Father, you are more than enough for us at all times and in every possible way. Forgive us for the countless ways that we dismiss your all-satisfying sufficiency and try to find hope, peace, purpose, and fulfillment in: ourselves, what we do, what we own, or significant people in our lives. We are a people who are prone to forsake the springs of living water so that we might satisfy ourselves from empty, broken cisterns (Jeremiah 2:13). Forgive us.
Yet in this we find hope, that even in our wandering you do not change nor do you cast us off. Rather you are constantly calling out,“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy?” (Isaiah 55:1-2)
O Father, we pray that you would use this pandemic to strip away the things in our life that are obscuring our vision of you. Convince us that you are our rock and our fortress, our ever present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1) Help us taste and see that you are good and that you cover everyone who takes refuge in you (Psalm 34:8). And we pray this so that we—your people—might truly taste the joy of your presence and the pleasures at your right hand (Psalm 16:11).
So as long as this period of mandatory isolation lasts Father, we ask that you would cause us to walk in a manner that is worthy of our Lord Jesus Christ, that we might be fully pleasing to him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in our knowledge of you; and being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy (Colossians 1:10–11).
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Worship:
“His Mercy is More”
“10,000 Reasons”
AFFIRMATION:
Let’s take a few minutes this morning to celebrate some of those 10,000 reasons we have to praise God no matter what is happening in our life:
Psalm 103:1–9; 13–14 (ESV)
1Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
2Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
3who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,
4who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
5who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.
7He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel.
8The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever.
13As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
14For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
WORSHIP:
“Behold Our God ”
Prayer:
Father help us see you as you truly are as we turn to your word this morning. You have told us that your Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). Cause it to do its supernatural work in each and everyone of us for your glory and our good. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
