A NOTE FROM PASTOR MARK:
We recognize that family worship has its unique challenges depending on your family’s size and stage of life. Therefore, we have prepared a complete worship service (below) for our entire church family because we are convinced that Sunday is so much more than a sermon. And this is one way for us to be worshiping the same way even though we are apart.
We suggest that you test the worship and sermon links before you gather your family. After you have done this, we encourage the leader of the house to read the prayers and appoint other readers as necessary to encourage greatest participation.
After the sermon is over, we encourage you to discuss the sermon and ways to live out its application.

Let’s approach the Lord today, remembering that his faithfulness is greater than any obstacle in our way…
Psalm 36:5–7
5 Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.

“It Is Well With My Soul”
prayer:
Oh living Christ, what a great salvation you accomplished! Thank you that we can declare that it is well with our souls because you nailed our sin to the cross. With all that is unpredictable and unstable around us, the permanence of what you did is a firm and steady rock beneath our feet. We rejoice that we can rest in the peace you have brought us. What a great relief!
And yet you know Lord that we are prone to fear. Even though our salvation is secure in you, we live in a world that continues to change. The places we are used to going, the people we are used to seeing, the routines we are used to keeping are not available to us right now. This can leave us afraid that life will never get back to “normal.” And as we are hit with additional pressures of life, all too often we find ourselves looking away from you. Instead of leaning on you, we lean on other things, like our own wisdom or resourcefulness. Forgive us!
Bring us back to yourself. Be the kind and gentle Shepherd and remind us of your constant care. Speak over us again the precious words, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Remind us of your promise: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). Living Christ, offer us over and over again what we so desperately need. You said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink” (John 7:37).
Christ, you are our fountain of life. Christ, you are our strength. Christ, you are our righteousness. Christ, you are our help, our only hope, our security. Christ, you are the bread of life, our triumphant king, the one who satisfies our souls. You hold our future. To you we have fled for refuge (Hebrews 6:18).

Prayer:
Lord, as we turn to your word, we pray, “not I, but Christ through me.” Christ, you are the one who must come and open our eyes to see your beauty as your Word is preached. On our own we are blind and deaf. So Christ come and open our hearts to expose sin, remind us of your forgiveness, and bring encouragement. Christ come to show us who we are in you. Christ come by your Spirit and reveal your love even deeper than before. We want to meet with you as your Word is proclaimed! Christ come! Amen.
