SAVE THE DATE — Saturday, September 25th, 3 PM — for this PERFECT Fall fellowship event!
The Andersons have offered to supply an apple press and a large amount of a variety of apples, fresh from Yakima to get us started, but it takes about a 5-gallon bucket of apples to produce 1 gallon of cider, so we need you to bring with you any apples & pears you can collect. Any kind of apples and pears work great for the pressing. In fact, Roberta says, the more variety of apples and pears, the better the juice! We will also need CLEAN milk or juice jugs to put the cider into.
We’ll provide hotdogs to roast over the fire (if the burn ban has been lifted). In addition to the apples & pears, and any empty jugs you might have, we’re asking everyone to ALSO PLEASE BRING: a side dish to share, patio or lawn chairs to sit on (put your name on them, so they don’t get mixed up), and sticks to roast the hotdogs on. Invite your friends!
BONUS TREAT: We will have fresh, hot, homemade donuts to go with our cider!
